BRIDGING PROGRAM

The introduction of vocational education and training qualifications for the martial arts industry in 2003 has provided the industry with unprecedented opportunity for growth.

Here at the International College of Kenshusei , we recognise the many years of hard training that a martial artist undertakes to become an instructor. After all we're instructors ourselves and we have put ourselves in your shoes, thats why we've developed the "Martial Arts Qualifications Bridging Program."

The "Bridging Program" is designed to map your current skills back to the requirements of the training package to save you hours and hours of unecessary study. We will identify areas of study that may need to be topped up and provide you with resource material that you will find informative and enjoyable.

Any knowledge gap study that you may be required to undertake may be completed easily from home or you may choose to attend face to face training sessions held regularly around Australia.

Step 1

Enrol into the "Martial Arts Qualifications Bridging Program"

Step 2

Complete the simplified, Bridging Program "RPL document" that we provide you, outlining your skills.

Step 3

Complete additional learning material. Once the learning gap has been identified, you can complete some informative and enjoyable workbooks addressing the identified required skills areas. In this step, you may choose to attend face to face workshops with our well known guest instructors to help you through more easily.

Step 4 Final Certification. Once all previous steps have been completed satisfactorily, you will be issued with your full Nationally recognised Certification.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the "Bridging Program" you must currently be a martial arts instructor or equivalent (ie Black Belt).

What Certificate Level should I apply for?

Experience tells us that most instructors should apply directly into the Certificate III program.

However, If you are running your own martial arts school and answer yes to any of the points listed below then we recommend that you enrol directly into the Certificate IV program.

  • Do you have instructors working underneath your authority?
  • Do you have a desire to partner with Kenshusei and become Nationally Recognosed Qualifications provider?
  • Do you want to have your martial arts program recognised as a legitimate secondary school subject?
  • Do you want to offer austudy approved training to the unemployed in your area?
